Aneisha was called to the Jamaican Bar in December 2018 and is a member of the Jamaican Bar Association and its Conveyancing and Telecommunications, Broadcasting and Technology Committees.
Aneisha graduated from the University of the West Indies in 2016 with a Bachelor of Laws Degree with Honours and from the Norman Manley Law School (NMLS) in 2018 after obtaining her Legal Education Certificate. She has the distinction of having been awarded the Council of Legal Education Award for the Most Outstanding Student for 2017/2018 and the Rattray Patterson Rattray Prize for Outstanding Students in the Norman Manley Law School Legal Aid Clinic for the same period.
While at NMLS, she also sought to develop her research skills and completed courses on online research with LexisNexis and gained both the Lexis Library Online Research Certificate and Lexis Library Advanced Online Research Certificates having successfully completed the requisite courses.
Outside of academics, Aneisha has consistently been involved in her church community, and has fulfilled various roles including secretary of the Sunday school and assistant choir director. She has a desire to encourage literacy and reading skills in the Sunday School students and the wider neighbouring communities. To that end, she partnered with one of her colleagues to provide Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) preparation classes as the need arose. Her desire to produce sustainable social and economic impacts on her community, which aligns with Foga Daley’s vision, also led her to pursue a course in Regenerative Leadership with the United Nations University for Peace – Centre of Executive Education in 2019 through a scholarship from the Guardian Group’s Global Leadership Diploma Scholarship Programme.
Aneisha also avidly enjoys reading, singing, song writing and going to the river.
